With DivX 5.1.1 we've been able to make it more than twice as fast than the really slow one we released last time! ;) Go to the end of the README for more cheesie marketing one liners. Joking aside DivX 5.1.1 does actually offer the best Quality and Performance of any release in DivX History. We finally got it right! The DivX codec (short for COmpression-DECompression) is the standard for high quality video over IP networks because it hits the sweet spot between superior visual quality and small file size.
